Student Charter

Introduction

This Charter also explains what UASM expects of you. The quality of the services that we believe you are entitled to is balanced with responsibilities placed on you. The ethos of a Private Education Organisation is different from that you may have experienced at school, or through other training. This Charter explains how you can make the most of the opportunities that the UASM student experience has to offer.   UASM is committed to continually improving the quality of its services and this Student Charter is one way of outlining that commitment to you.

Give us feedback on how we are doing

UASM surveys student views regularly. The results of these surveys are analysed and considered carefully by UASM. As the questionnaires are often anonymous, you may not receive an individual response from UASM but your views will be considered along with those of other students, so that improvements can be made.

Did you know?

“You as students are encouraged to tell us your views.”

Complaints

If you have a problem, you can contact the Academics Director. It is important to tell us about any problems as soon as you can as it is often easier to deal with problems at an early stage. UASM also has a formal procedure for student complaints.

Appeals procedure

The appeals procedure is the method of appealing an academic decision made by a Board of Examiners. Please note that there are very tight timescales for making appeals. Further information is available in your Student Handbook or online.

Student discipline

You should note that there are disciplinary procedures for students who break UASM regulations or fail to comply with instructions regarding conduct. Further information is available in your Student Handbook or online.

After you leave:
We hope that your relationship with UASM will be one which you value both during your time with us and after you leave. We would like you to continue your relationship with us after completing your studies.
